I can't believe I haven't posted in over a month. Life has been busy with the new baby and schedules are finally aligning after school starting back. Josiah is now 11lbs and growing. He is sleeping about 5 hours at a time now. School time has started and Evan and Joel are learning well. They just finished their creation unit and put up posters in the kitchen....they are really cool.
I have been enjoying Evan a lot lately as he says some profound things sometimes. Other times they are just silly, but sometimes he reveals his faith. The other night he was scared and I asked him why. He said something about being scared of bears outside or something. He then said he looked forward to growing up so he could have someone to sleep in his bed. I never thought about it from his perspective but I believe he thinks the reason I am not scared of bears outside is because Mommy sleeps in my bed. With this thought process, the world does seem real confusing. Shouldn't little boys get to sleep with their mommy and daddy until they are old enough to sleep "bravely" on their own? At the end of the conversation, after thinking about what I said about having a companion someday after he married, he asked, "Daddy, how in the world is God gonna find me a lady?" How awesome it was to explain that God had a wonderful plan mapped out for His life and that he would just have to trust Him.
